My Role on Revolt

Working as part of a cross-discipline team of 16 people, my primary role was steering the combat and narrative of the game. Focusing on both the story for the arena shooter, and the gunplay. It was important the gunplay and narrative not only set the scene, but complimented the parkour style movement of Revolt which took it's inspiration from Titanfall.

Narrative Design Highlights

  • World Design: Creating the dystopian alternative history of the cold war, culminating in a lore guide for the art team to build all the assets and levels from.

  • Narrative Scripting: Writing and directing the voice acting found within the game, including all scripts and narrative journals.

Combat Design

  • Designing multiple different weapons: With the aim of targetting different playstyles and keeping the focus on the games movement system.

  • Fine tuning weapons: Through extensive playtesting ensure an excellent player experience.
