Sunshine Gardens was a small Snapchat Game, available in Asia and Oceania. Developed using PlayCanvas, the game allowed users to create their own garden space and visit their friends.

My Role on Sunshine Gardens
I was contracted to work on Sunshine Gardens as a technical designer. Designing and implementing systems within the technical constraints of the small memory requirement of snapgames. Primarily using javascript and Go, I contributed to the implementation and design of a number of different systems.
My Highlights:
- A complete rework of the first time user experience (FTUE). I redesigned and implemented a completely new FTUE for the game, putting the player and their actions at the core of the experience.
- A robust achievement system. I wrote, designed and implemented an achievement system for the game, letting the player track their progress and measure their success.
- Expandable gardens. Contributed to the design and implementation of an expandable garden for the player, as means of expanding the players creative options. Adding an end game horizon point to the game.
